The JCVI-Syn3.0 synthetic cells reported by C.A. Hutchison III et al. in 2016  are documented at the JCVI website. The cell line is commercially available from SGI-DNA. Note that these cells can be purchased for research use; the cost is $1,875.
The authors of the minimal genome paper recently released a perspectives paper, outlining their view on synthetic cells, in Minimal Cells—Real and Imagined. It provides a good overview of the history of the field, and the potential that lies in identifying genes of unknown function in JCVI-Syn3.0.
